BEAGLES BRED FOR DISPOSITION
We believe that beagles can be good hunters AND pets. All our beagles are pets as well as hunters, and do both very successfully.
We field trial and hunt our beagles. While most of our pups are placed in homes as pets, these pups will hunt if you invest the time and effort.
We feature puppies and sometimes offer young started pups and / or fully broke gun dogs.
BEAGLES ARE GOOD THERAPY FOR KIDS!
Beagles are great friends for kids - any kid going through a hard time in life - over a divorce, problems in school or with friends, can surely use a "special buddy". I've heard countless accounts of how new pups have turned kids' lives around. The pups help teach kids responsibilty, and offer plenty of love in return. Sometimes having a special puppy to love makes all the difference in the world. Thanks to our model, "Alicia" for posing with some of Brandy's pups.
BEAGLES ARE GREAT COMPANIONS
Beagles are very sociable dogs, and love to hang out with the family. We begin socializing our pups at birth, and arrange visits by kids of all ages. Beagles make great companions for people and for other dogs. Pack dogs by nature, they are easy going and get along with other dogs readily. From left to right, we have our Brandy, and two of Billy Jo's pups at seven months of age - photographed on a visit here from New York City - Shelmerdine and Hero, hanging out in the family room. BEAGLES MAKE GREAT "WATCHDOGS"
Beagles, bred for hunting, have excellent senses of smell, hearing and eyesight. They are alert little dogs, sensitive to every change, and therefore make excellent wacth dogs. Although they are gentle and loving, they will sound an alarm if anything in their domain changes suspiciously. letting you know in advance of any intruders.
BEAGLES ARE EAGER TRAVELLERS
Beagles are great travelling companions - they love road trips, and since they are small, they are welcome as guests in many hotels and motels across the country. .
BEAGLES MAKE GREAT HUNTERS
Beagles can be BOTH great pets AND hunters - all our beagles can be trained to hunt at your discretion. In the bottom right photo is Billie Jo - she is dragging Ray towards the gate at our beagle club! Beagles LOVE to chase rabbits and it is a natural outlet for them to expend energy. If you allow your beagle to chase bunnies, he or she will be extremely grateful and make an even better pet and companion. Chasing bunnies (and eating food!)
are the only things beagles might like better than sleeping in your bed! The beagles don't hurt the bunnies, they just have a lot of fun chasing them around - when the rabbits tire of the dogs they go into a hole and that ends the hunt
